Organization:  Console Mission

Grant:  $2500

Project Objective: to provide humanities and nursing students internship opportunities in health, management and social services.

In brief: While leading the Fund, Dr. Harding encouraged Console Mission to begin a pilot internship project to expose and educate young Nepali college students to the needs among those less fortunate in their country.  Eight students completed year-long internships in school oral health programs, primary health care activities, hygiene awareness, waste management, and shelter homes for the elderly. After evaluating the impact, Console Mission wants to continue the program, but funds are needed for the upcoming year.
