Sundar Tamang, is a 22 year old from the Dhading District of North Western Nepal. With dreams of becoming a geometric engineer, Tamang was enrolled in a training program sponsored by the government of Nepal. Although his first semester's tuition was covered, Tamang was responsible for funding the remainder of his two year, introductory program.

In order to support himself and his family of 14 -- who were greatly affected by the earthquake in 2015 -- Tamang worked as a laborer during his breaks from his studies.

Through Tamang's church, he was able to connect with the DDHCFN, which approved a scholarship for him to complete his courses. Tamang is currently studying for public board exams and plans to pursue an engineering job with the Nepali Government.

He will then continue his studies to earn a Bachelors degree in Geometric Engineering.
